RIT to Host Largest Career Fair in University's History, Sept. 28
MEDIA ADVISORY:
Students at Rochester Institute of Technology are polishing resumes, attending mock interviews, and shopping for professional attire. This can only mean one thing: it’s time for the Fall Career Fair.
The largest career fair in RIT’s 176-year history, featuring 130 companies and agencies, will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m to 4 p.m in RIT’s Gordon Field House and Activities Center. The event--for RIT students and alumni only--will offer students networking opportunities with Microsoft, Fisher-Price, Boeing, Intel and a group of employers that include nearly 50 first time attendees to an RIT career fair.
Many students choose to attend RIT because of the career opportunities presented by the cooperative education program, which is one of the oldest and largest in the nation. The program is highly regarded, and is consistently recognized among the top 10 “Programs at Work” by U.S. News and World Report.
Pamela Hunter, a human resources manager at InfiMed, has great confidence in RIT’s co-op program. “For over 20 years, InfiMed has benefited by employing RIT students in full-time and co-op positions. RIT career fairs and the Office of Cooperative Education and Career Services makes this possible by providing the means to identify talented individuals.”
