RIT Hosts Olympus Photographers John Isaac & Joel Meyerowitz, Oct. 12

CALENDAR:

WHO: Olympus Visionary photographers John Isaac and Joel Meyerowitz. Isaac is a former chief of the United Nations Photo Unit, an award-winning photojournalist and wildlife photographer. Isaac has authored many books, including a series called “Children in Crisis.” Through this series, Isaac gives a first-hand account of the daily lives of children and their families in troubled regions around the world.

Meyerowitz is an award winning “street photographer” in the tradition of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Frank, although he works exclusively in color. Following the September 11th attacks, Meyerowitz received unimpeded access to Ground Zero. Some of his photographs are part of a traveling exhibition,"After September 11: Images from Ground Zero." Both men will share the creative process and the tools behind their award-winning photography.
