Samad advising multidisciplinary senior design students’ 3D printing project

Wael A. Samad, associate professor and chair of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at RIT Dubai, is mentoring a team of four multidisciplinary senior design students who have secured funding from the UAE’s Dubai Electricity & Water Authority Al-Baheth Capstone Fund. The project is centered around the optimization of 3D printing filament production using recycled plastics, with a robust focus on both quality and sustainability.
