Samad moderates panel on climate change

Wael Abdel Samad, associate professor of mechanical engineering at RIT Dubai, moderated a panel discussion on “Government, Academia, and Private Sector Roles in Advancing NetZero” on Sept. 26, hosted by RIT Dubai. The panel featured Julie Middleton, director of the Office of Middle Eastern and African Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy; Sandra Helayel, director of Government Engagement for Gulf & Levant at GE; and Ghalib Kahwaji, professor of mechanical engineering at RIT Dubai. The panelists emphasized the critical importance of collaboration in the pursuit of a sustainable future ahead of the United Nations climate change conference in the UAE later this year.
