Tyler recognized for presentation at higher education professionals conference

Dave Tyler, director of University Social Media, won a “Red Stapler” award for a presentation given during the annual conference of Higher Education Web Professionals in October 2020. Tyler earned a “Best in Track” for his presentation on RIT’s strategy and successes on the social media platform TikTok titled “And My Life Is Kinda Crazy: How RIT Plunged into the World of TikTok.” RIT continues to have the most viewed single post by a college or university on the platform.
