Umansky receives photography award

Daniel Umansky, a third-year photographic sciences student, received the Premier Award in the Natural Science Photography category and Canadian Founders Natural Science Award for his photograph “Tropical Orb Weaver (E. ravilla),” in the BioCommunications Association’s BioImages 2025 competition. Umansky’s photograph, “Madagascan Sunset Moth (C. rhipheus) Wing,” was also featured as an Image of Merit in the Natural Science Photography category. Umansky was assisted by Alyssa Neff, a third-year visual media student.
