Van Aardt named poster session finalist
Karla van Aardt, a fourth-year imaging science student, was named a poster session finalist at the 2025 IEEE Rochester Section Joint Chapters meeting. Her presentation, “Robust Active SLAM with Bayesian Actor-Critic Reinforcement Learning and Vision Transformer Integration,” explored how uncertainty and advanced AI can help robots better understand and navigate their environment.
