Tony Wong, assistant professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences, is the lead author of “Sea Level and Socioeconomic Uncertainty Drives High-End Coastal Adaptation Costs,” along with co-author Hannah Sheets, applied statistics major. The work, published in the journal Earth’s Future, demonstrates that simplified methods to account for uncertainty in sea-level change can significantly underestimate coastal damages from climate change.
