Xerox Executive Willem Appelo joins RIT’s Board of Trustees

Brighton resident is RIT’s 51st active board member

RIT has added Xerox executive Willem Appelo to its Board of Trustees.

Appelo is vice president of the Xerox Strategic Services Group at Xerox Corp., a position he was appointed to in December 2002.

Appelo, who joined Xerox in 1991, has corporate responsibility for the design and implementation of Xerox’s environment, health and safety initiatives, the certification standards, training and coaching of Xerox Lean Six Sigma and the real estate strategy and property management for Xerox sites around the world.

Appelo, a Brighton resident, holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from HEAO in Zwolle, Netherlands, and a master’s of business administration from Delta University in Utrecht, Netherlands.

RIT’s Board of Trustees now has 51 active members. It also has 32 honorary/emeriti trustees.
