Job Description

This application is for a non-tenure track or tenure track faculty position in Law and Management in Gallaudet University's Business Administration program. Teach undergraduate business administration core and elective courses, with an emphasis on Business Law, and Business Management courses. In addition, ability to teach Business Ethics, Business Capstone, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) courses are desirable. The selected candidate will serve as advisor and mentor to undergraduate business majors. If hired as a tenure track faculty member, the candidate will be expected to conduct research, individually and/or collaboratively with other members of the academic community. Fulfill program, department and university service assignments. Perform other duties assigned by the chairperson of the Department of Business. 

Requirements

Doctoral degree in Business, Management, or the equivalent. University level teaching experience and increasingly responsible experience in private business and/or the government in Management, and Law areas strongly preferred. Applicants with a Masters degree in a related discipline, and/or JD who have extensive, relevant work and teaching experience may also be considered.

Applicant must possess strong quantitative and technology skills.

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable; if not already proficient, a new faculty member must develop proficiency in ASL in accordance with Gallaudet University guidelines.

Record of publication, survey, research, consulting and other activities demonstrating the use of economic analysis for business and/or government decision-making purposes is highly desirable.

To be considered for tenure at Gallaudet University, a candidate must possess a Ph.D./terminal degree in their field.
