TEACHER AIDE SALARY $22,728 annually (based on working 209 school days) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Primary duty is assisting the classroom teacher in carrying out the individual education programs for students. Assists in preparation of various teaching materials. Obtains and sets up educational equipment or machines as required. Makes notes and keeps records at the direction of a teacher. Assists teacher in classroom work and may be assigned responsibility for specific sessions of tutoring students. Assists with student activities in and out of the classroom. Prepares original artwork for use by classroom teachers. Performs related work as assigned. The incumbent must have the ability to perform the essential functions below either with or without reasonable accommodations. PREFERRED SKILLS Previous Teacher Aide experience preferred.
