Description
The Director/VP of HR & Employment Services is responsible for designing and delivering an exceptional Employment Center array of services for social venture fund partners and external professional services clients. In partnership with the CSD VP of HR, Talent & Culture (HRTC), the Director of HR and Employment services is also responsible for coordinating, supporting, and providing HR & Employment services internal to CSD. This can include all Human Resources functions; including recruitment, employment, training and development, performance management, employee engagement, staffing and organizational planning.

This position reports to the President of Professional Services, with a dotted line to the VP of HRTC.

Though there is only one job opening, we are posting this position at both a Director level and a Vice President level. Our intention is to find the best fit for this position - we believe that could be at the Director or VP level, depending on experience. We invite all who meet either qualifications to apply.

Essential Functions

Acting as the face of CSD, consult with external partners in the following areas:

Development and cultivation of talent pipelines, so that talent pools are well-positioned to meet the current and evolving needs of the organizations and their clients.
Organizational efforts contributing to an exceptional employment experience. Collaborates with organizational leaders to refine and optimize employee-centric processes
Contribute to the enhancement of a workforce, including training and development, performance management, and organizational planning efforts
Development and administration of company policies and procedures that effectively balance the welfare of both the company and its employees
Collection, warehousing and reporting of employee data, ensuring compliance with privacy considerations
HR compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and similar regulations.
Change management leadership, ensuring that employee needs are represented in organizational decision-making
Communication efforts to ensure employees feel connected to the company’s mission, vision and direction
Diversity and inclusion programs, collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external practitioners to guide and apply best in class standards for building an inclusive environment
Internal CSD

Serve as the lead ambassador and community activator regarding employment opportunities, building a powerful network within the deaf and mainstream communities championing CSD and its clients as a best place to find work
Collaborates with VP of HRTC on special projects and initiatives, supporting the mission and vision of CSD.
Serves as a subject matter expert on all Human Resources topics and leads other Human Resources professionals supporting the overall employee experience.
Ensures HR compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and similar regulations
Other duties as necessary based on changing organizational priorities

Requirements:

Director level:

-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field from an accredited college or university
-Minimum of 7 years of progressively-responsible work experience within the Human Resources f-function with at least 2 years of leading/ directing work
-National accreditation within the HR function, preferred, but not required(i.e. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
-Professional experience working within a virtualized work environment (preferred, but not required)
-Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language

Vice President level:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field from an accredited college or university
-Minimum of 10 years of progressively-responsible work experience within the Human Resources function with at least 5 years of leading / directing work at the organizational level
-National accreditation within the HR function, preferred, but not required(i.e. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
-Professional experience leading within a virtualized work environment (preferred, but not required)
-Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language
