Job Description

We are looking for dynamic applicants to join The Learning Center for the Deaf team!

About the Position:
Director of the Early Childhood Center provides leadership and supervision to promote effective early childhood education. This individual oversees the Parent Infant Program, and the preschool program. Ensures effective early childhood educational services to the children attending the Marie Philip School Early Childhood Center. Provides educational leadership to meet each student’s individual needs and determine class assignments for students. Provides direct supervision to the teachers and teacher aides working in the Early Childhood Center through classroom observations and regularly scheduled meetings. Ensures effective collaboration with families, LEA’s and other representative agencies. Works collaboratively with TLC specialists and clinicians.

The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) is a nationally-recognized leader in educational, therapeutic, and community services for deaf and hard of hearing children and adults. We are the largest provider of services to deaf and hard of hearing children in New England, and the largest private employer of deaf individuals in the State of Massachusetts. In 2019, TLC was named Outstanding Organization of the Year by the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
