LSA, REMOTE /INTERPRETER OPPORTUNITIES – AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS /PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT/ REMOTE
Description:

LSA Video is actively seeking experienced ASL Interpreters to work remotely with our state-of-art VRI call center located in Horsham, PA. Candidates must possess American Sign Language (ASL) and/or English transliteration as well as spoken English skills. PT positions available.

Job Responsibilities:

- Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL), and/or English transliteration and spoken English, through web-based VRI system
- Answering inbound VRI sessions in a timely manner
- Assist clients with basic troubleshooting (refer to manager or IT department if necessary)
- Provide superior customer service
- All other duties as assigned by Manager (may include, but not limited to, video and web based ASL recorded translations)
Requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

- Maintain, as applicable, compliance with any national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
- Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct
- Attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Professional and positive phone manner with clients from all types of businesses
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the 24/7/365 demands of VRI
- Familiarity working in a windows environment (MS Office suite, remote connections—gotomypc, etc.)
- RID certification and proof of current Pennsylvania registration
- Experience with VRS or VRI systems (preferred)
- PC Trouble shooting skills preferred
- Minimum of at least a high school diploma
- Willingness to learn and take on more responsibilities as needed
- Attention to detail, while working in a fast paced environment
- At least 5 years of interpreting experience
- “Can-Do” attitude
