Job Description

GENERAL SCOPE: The Staff Development & Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to support initiatives aimed at enhancing staff training, compliance, and quality of care. This intern will assist in coordinating educational programs, supporting quality assurance audits, and improving internal processes. Ideal for students pursuing a degree in nursing, human services, public health, human resources, or a related field.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assist in planning, organizing, and delivering staff development and training activities.
• Support the tracking and documentation of employee competencies, certifications, and required trainings.
• Participate in internal audits to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
• Help develop and update educational materials and training documentation.
• Gather and analyze data for performance improvement initiatives and compliance metrics.
• Collaborate with staff to assess training needs and identify areas for process improvement.
• Attend QA and training meetings; take minutes and follow up on action items.
• Provide administrative support to the Staff Development and QA teams as needed.

VARIABLES: Generally works Monday-Friday

Requirements

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Human Resources, or human services related field.
EXPERIENCE: Strong organizational and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with LMS or QA software a plus. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
