Job Description:
This position provides interpreting or transliterating services for students
and staff at Wake Technical Community College, either in the classrooms or in
other college approved settings.



Requirements:
Required:
Associate's degree AND, by date of hire, must hold a North Carolina
Interpreter and Transliterator License OR a BEI ( Board of Interpreting)
Certification or National Interpreter/Transliterator Certification

Preferred:
Associate's degree in Sign Language Interpreting or ASL linguistics
Proficiency in other modes of communication for the Deaf, that includes but
is not limited to Cued Speech, Signed English and Oral Interpreting
Two years of experience interpreting and or transliterating in a
post-secondary setting
