Job Description

Summary

The Full Stack Software Engineer designs, develops, and implements software solutions across multiple platforms to support the direction of the organization. Must be able to work across multiple layers of a project and juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high quality code and applications that meet requirements and performs efficiently and effectively, across the full application stack
Breakdown complex requirements into independent architectural components, modules, tasks and strategies through the full software development lifecycle
Communicate pros, cons and trade-offs of development decisions to other engineers, product owners, and stakeholders
Adhere to, and further establish, sound software practices based on industry and team standards and best practices
Generate documentation that articulates solution and application structures, organization, and workflows
Embrace continual improvement; willingness to learn and develop new skills independently and in a team environment
Have strong opinions on technical direction without a strong ego
Help build an engineering culture with a high bar for quality, ownership, and bias for action

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
4+ years software development experience with front-end and back-end architecture and development
Strong understanding of core AWS services
Experience with many of the following (or similar): (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQL, Node.JS, Java, Python, Angular/Angular CLI, .Net (C#, VB), TypeScript / JavaScript, GIT)
Experience building, and integrating with REST web services/APIs
Experience with issue tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
Experience with Agile approach to development
Experience with GIT
Experience with testing tools and frameworks (front and/or back end)
Experience with Serverless framework and concepts a plus
Experience with AWS CI/CD pipelines and CloudFormation a plus
AWS Certified Developer and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect a plus
Experience with localization / internationalization a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to learn/adapt to new technologies
Ability to manage timely delivery of projects with a track record of success • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills; strong attention to detail
