Description
This position will provide program support, professional development, and
project management for the Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer (CEIO).
Participate fully in the direction of the activities of the Office of Equity
and Inclusion (OEI) and keeps the CEIO advised on the important matters, and
their implications related to carrying out the supporting tasks of the
OEI’s mission and operations. Plan, including administrative, logistical,
and operation support and coordinate annual, high level conferences,
workshops, and professional development courses.

CEIO provides consultant services as needed by this position in planning
activities, developing priorities and schedules, and determining how
assignments are carried out. This position is expected to plan and carry out
the work independently, and coordinate actions on own initiative.

SUPERVISOR: Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer- This is a new position for
TLC, and the structure may evolve over time.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze and use data to identify professional development needs and to
evaluate, improve, and report on program effectiveness. Recommend
initiatives. Assist CEIO with developing, coordinating, and overseeing
programs in alignment with TLC/OEI’s goals.

Develop and approve professional development programs and workshops to meet
identified needs with CEIO’s review

Serve as a liaison to TLC Offices on cross-cutting issues to ensure
consistent levels of support, quality, and messaging. Coordinate professional
development activities across the TLC

Manage/coordinate events and professional development resources (including
purchasing equipment and supplies, maintaining accurate reports, and
submitting and maintaining balanced budgets

Coordinates activities with the TLC community and other community groups

Oversee and finalize support requirements for professional development.
Conduct constructive after action reviews to identify and carryout
improvements to internal operations, controls, and coordination. Arrange
guest speakers and evaluate progress for professional development.

Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of TLC programs, including
support and engage in administering professional development for
organizations.

Publish monthly OEI newsletter announcing and highlighting professional
development activities

Establish calendar milestones for planning and coordinating multiple ongoing
events. Ensure all required activities are completed in a timely manner.
Formulate, prepare, and revise the cost estimates for conferences, workshops,
seminars, roundtables, etc.

Prepare data summaries for inclusion in a variety of OEI reports on budget
and other issues. Post events to facilitate planning and prevent conflicts.
Create and distribute monthly/weekly announcements for upcoming events to TLC
Staff.

Exercise timely and accurate tracking of obligations, commitments, and
resource issues within the fiscal and budgetary guidance of OEI.

Research and analyze new or changing subjects to develop professional
development courses, workshops, seminars, and lunch. Establish and maintain
contact with others in organizations related to equity and inclusion to keep
abreast of the latest changes. Schedule classes, presentations, and research
on instructors and make recommendations to the CEIO.

Assist in the coordination, and planning of orientation days for new Staff

Perform other tasks as assigned by the CEIO

Requirements:
Masters preferred, or Bachelor with 5 years of experience
Native, or near-native ASL fluency preferred
Minimum of 5 years related experience
Strong analytical skill
Ability to set goals, plan strategies, schedule, and coordinate work and
integrate planning efforts across work units to meet organizational goals
Skill in establishing and maintaining an effective and cooperative work
relationships with organizations to obtain cooperation in conference and
event planning functions
Ability to plan, schedule, and track techniques to structure and monitor the
effective and efficient execution of program operations
Ability to estimate conference costs and convey information to managers
Strong communication skill in order to effectively enter and maintain data,
prepare reports, and express findings to various levels of staff
Ability to accept and constructively use feedback and suggestions regarding
job responsibilities and performance
