Job title and work responsibilities
My title is logistics management specialist, and I manage the inventory on parts for weapon systems for the U.S. Marines. Each quarter, parts are repaired or purchased, and I have to decide based on demand how many should get repaired, where the repairs should be done, where the repaired part should be shipped or where they should be stocked. I also make purchasing decisions for smaller items, deciding on quantity, vendor and destination. I am proud to be supporting the Marines who are defending our country.

How my career relates to my degree from RIT/NTID
I manage inventory, check the funding and decide if we have the budget to repair parts or if it would be more economical in the long run to replace them. This requires skills in research, analysis and decision-making—all of which I learned and practiced in preparing for my accounting degree.
