Tiger Collective: News from NTID and President Solomon

Editions

Congratulations to everyone on getting through our first semester together and for your work during the longest federal government shutdown in history. Our connections to one another and being there for each other are hallmarks of our NTID community and enable us to weather challenges and keep delivering on our mission.

As 2025 comes to a close and we begin to look forward to 2026, I’m pleased to share with you this video that highlights the importance of connections in our community. My thanks to the Communications, Marketing and Multimedia Services team for putting this together.

You asked, and I’m answering! Here are a few of our students’ most burning questions.

On December 10, 2025, NTID President Caroline Solomon held a town hall to share information about the NTID Strategic Journey process with NTID staff.

Save the Date: Artist and alum Christine Sun Kim ’02 has been confirmed as NTID’s spring semester Edmund Lyon lecturer, scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2026, (details to be announced).

Mid-December marks the end of the peak recruitment cycle. NTID Admissions visited 273 schools (compared to 250 at the same time last year) and will continue to visit schools throughout the spring semester.

We have added two courses to our ContinuED Partnership and had a new course approved for NTID-supported AAS, AS, BS, and BFA students.

Access Service Coordinators have been preparing for spring course registration.

We had strong enrollment reports for both the Career Exploration Series and Project Fast Forward.

Join me in congratulating our colleagues on their many accomplishments.
