Tiger Collective: News from NTID and President Solomon

Editions

NTID private fundraising attainment is on track to reach our $1.8M FY26 fundraising goal. Our office is leading or contributing to 20+ events and activities in the coming weeks.

Access Services conducted a satisfaction survey to NTID faculty/staff and students at the end of the spring semester.

The CAAS department moved to offices in each academic department with the goal of seeing students more regularly. The NTID Center on Workforce Development (NCWD) supported a 10-day NTID Battery Storage Technician Bootcamp and is currently supporting the Certificate in International Sign Interpreting.

We have established a relationship with new federal Department of Education contacts and have kept the FY25 funding flowing and on time.

Join me in congratulating our colleagues on their accomplishments.

CODA Research Study

The Reading and Deafness (RAD) Lab is recruiting hearing adults who learned ASL from Deaf signing parents (children of deaf adults; CODAs) for two paid research studies.

A sampling of stories that made news.

Lots of exciting events are happening in the coming weeks. Be sure to join in!
