I became interested in interpreting because I took an ASL class and fell in love with the language and the opportunity to bridge the Deaf and hearing communities. The faculty are supportive and patient and genuinely want us to succeed. I also like the close relationships I have with my peers. We help and support each other, and we are like family. I know I will stay in contact with these people for the rest of my life.
