I knew to be successful in college I needed to find a place where I would be comfortable and accepted. That’s what I found at RIT/NTID.

RIT is a good fit for me because of its phenomenal technology programs and the accommodations the college provides deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

RIT/NTID’s prestigious interpreting program is unique. I can fully immerse myself into the language and culture because of the large Deaf community on campus as well as in Rochester.

The excellent options in business programs and high successful job placement rate for deaf and hard-of-hearing graduates made RIT a great choice.

When I was searching for a college I wanted someplace where I could feel a sense of belonging like I did in high school.

I became interested in interpreting because I took an ASL class and fell in love with the language and the opportunity to bridge the Deaf and hearing communities.

I knew interpreting was the right fit for me because Spanish is my first language, so I always had to interpret for my family growing up. RIT was my top choice.

Access services, strong academic rankings, having a criminal justice major, and opportunities to grow my leadership skills to make a difference in the world were important to me when searching for college.

The co-op experience helped me build skills to enhance my future in the computing field.

Starting in the associate+bachelor’s degree program gave me a jump start to a bachelor’s degree.

I traveled far to get access to the best education in the world for deaf people.
