High school gamers, are you ready?
The Tiger Gaming League’s spring season is an epic online showdown exclusively for deaf and hard-of-hearing high school players of all skill levels. Compete virtually, sharpen your skills, and work with your team as you battle your way toward a spot in our National Competition at RIT/NTID.
Whether you’re new to esports or a seasoned player, the spring season gives you the chance to level up, grow as a competitor, and bring your game to the big stage on campus.
Spring Season
The spring season features high-intensity gameplay and tournament-style brackets exclusively for high school competitors who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Games for the spring season will be selected based on player preference and popularity. Players form teams and compete in thrilling fast-paced battles for a chance to play in the national competition. Every match matters during the spring season!

Who can compete
High school deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Format
Virtual brackets, matches and qualifiers for the National competition.
To be eligible for any of the virtual competitions in the spring season, players must be registered in a team of 4 with a coach. Gamers must register online and join the Tiger Gaming League Discord to view brackets, standings, and match schedules. Once registered, teams may join the action and compete for national competition qualification.
All players in a team must participate in both Fortnite and Rocket League for the 2026 spring season.
National Competition
April 30 - May 3, 2026
The National competition is the culmination of the Tiger Gaming League season! At Nationals, high school teams and players will compete in our top gaming spaces, visit the MAGIC Center, attend game development and design workshops, and explore game-related majors at RIT/NTID. Travel and lodging for the weekend are coordinated by our Youth Programs team.
Prizes
The top three individual winners of the National competition will receive the following prizes:
1st place - $1,200
2nd place - $800
3rd place - $400
The Tiger Gaming League team will nominate an individual player who showcases good sportsmanship throughout the weekend. That player will receive a special prize at the end of the national competition.
In addition to a cash prize, all gamers on the 1st place team will receive program fee waivers for any of our summer programs.
Are you ready to play? Here’s everything you need to start!
- Fall season: Deaf or hard-of-hearing middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students.
- Spring season: Deaf or hard-of-hearing high school (grades 9-12) students only.
- Teams must have four players and one coach.
There is no cost to compete in our virtual competitions in the fall and spring. RIT/NTID covers travel and lodging for qualifying teams for the National competition.
Equipment needs vary by season and depend on the game being played. Most competitions use PC, Xbox, Playstation 5, or Nintendo Switch gaming platforms.
- Players must apply online using the individual registration and complete the required forms.
- Coaches must complete the team application.
- After you register, you’ll receive an email with details for the seasons and an invite to our Discord for schedules and updates.
