RIT students will have more opportunities to flex their creative muscles outside of the classroom through a new program called MAKE, housed within RIT’s College of Art and Design. The new program creates opportunities for students outside of the college to engage with the resources and expertise available within the School for American Crafts and School of Art.

RIT has been recognized for offering some of the best online programs in the nation, including Saunders College of Business Executive MBA program, which held strong at No. 9 in the latest rankings.

Two RIT/NTID students involved in last semester’s production of Everybody brought home awards from the Region II Kennedy Center College Theatre Fest, held at West Chester (Pa.) University Jan. 17-22. 

The RIT community came together on Nov. 6 to shine a light on voting rights and equal rights as part of RIT's 35th Big Shot, one of the university's signature events.

For the 12th consecutive year, RIT has been named one of the “greenest” universities in the United States by The Princeton Review.

Roughly 4,000 RIT students and alumni came to RIT’s university-wide career fair today in search of co-ops, internships, or full-time employment. Recruiters from nearly 230 local, regional, and national companies, including Thomson Reuters, Kodak Alaris, Collins Aerospace, L3Harris, and O’Connell Electric Co., were present.

Innovation, value, co-op education, and excellence in undergraduate teaching are among the categories in which RIT is highly ranked and listed as one of the best national universities by U.S. News & World Report.

“Shaped by the American Dream: Deaf History through Deaf Art,” featuring more than 140 works celebrating the Deaf American experience, is on display through April 21, 2023, at the Dyer Arts Center at RIT/NTID.

NTID’s Department of Performing Arts spaces are getting a facelift. The costume shop, scene shop, and dance studio will all be expanded and upgraded, and current department offices, dressing rooms, green room, and 1510 theater will be rebuilt.

More students involved in performing arts are currently enrolled at Rochester Institute of Technology than ever before. The latest incoming class includes a record 482 new students who received Performing Arts Scholarships.

RIT remains one of the nation’s best universities for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The education-services company features RIT in the just-published 2023 edition of its book "The Best 388 Colleges."
