As the fall semester is coming near, lot of new incoming students must be wondering where to start their RIT journey. With so many options to reside it can get a bit overwhelming to select a location to stay. On-campus housing is mostly reserved for undergraduate students and it is difficult to as a graduate student hence most graduate students prefer to stay off-campus. Here is a list of good locations to stay which are popular and well suited for students.

The Province and Park Point.

These two places provide fully furnished studio apartments to students with 1,3, and 4 bedrooms. The rooms are big and there is no compromise on quality of the furniture. Although rent is on the higher side, but they come with all the amenities that a student might require like gym, swimming pool etc. It is just a 5-minute RIT shuttle ride or a 10 mins walk away from campus and hence connectivity is great.

Rustic Village Apartments and Brighton apartments.

Rustic village and  Brighton apartments is a huge chain of apartments which provide 2 BHK apartments which are furnished and non-furnished. It is 10-minute drive away campus and RIT has frequent shuttle service to this location although it is not available during weekends. The apartments are quite clean and new and rent is moderate here. You’ll find a lot of seniors here and this place can give you a good community experience.

Rustic Village

River Meadows

This is a place where you’ll find a lot of Rochester locals living. You get different house options from Townhouse to villas which range from 2BHK to 6 BHK.  The great thing about this location is that global village at RIT is just a 10 mins walk away from this place, so you don’t have to wait for the shuttle bus. The apartments can vary in their looks and can be old and the rent is on the moderate side.

The Lodge

The Lodge is one of the premium RIT off-campus student housing which has spacious apartments and amenities that students need along with high speed internet up to 1 Gigabit. The rent is a bit high and this place is serviced with its own “The Lodge” buses for students. It takes around 10-15-minute bus ride to reach RIT. If you want to live lavishly then this is the place to choose.
