    New name, same curriculum: Humanities, computing, and design program

    RIT’s digital humanities and social sciences program has opted for a new name: humanities, computing, and design (HCD). The new name more accurately reflects the skillset graduates leave with, and it is more recognizable among prospective students, their families, and employers.

    RIT has been recognized by Gizmodo, a design, technology, science, and science fiction website, for its offerings related to the top Degrees of the Future for 2022. RIT was named for its specialties in cybersecurity, environmental engineering, game design, and computer graphics.

    RIT launches European Post-High School Semester program to ease college transition

    High school graduates who seek a self-reflection opportunity before fully deciding on and entering into college have a new alternative through RIT. The RIT European Post-High School Semester program allows recent high school graduates to use Dubrovnik, Croatia, as their home base while they take classes, conduct research, embark on excursions across Europe, and build friendships and mentorships along the way.

    RIT expects to welcome a record-breaking freshman class this fall

    For the second consecutive year, RIT officials anticipate that the university will welcome a record number of first-year undergraduate students. More than 3,350 first-year students have submitted deposits for fall enrollment as of June 1, up from more than 3,130 this time last year.
