RIT marks the opening of the university's new academic year and the beginning of new students’ careers with a special welcome event: Fall Convocation for New Students.

10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Gordon Field House and Activities Center
The event will include a welcome from Provost Dr. Prabu David, as well as other speakers from Student Affairs, Student Government, and the RIT academic community.
While this event is required for all new students, faculty and staff are invited to attend. Parents, families, and other supporters may join the event virtually. The live-stream link will be available a few minutes before the start of the event on the Orientation website.
