Golisano College Dean's Lecture Series presents Dr. H. Vincent Poor

Golisano College Dean’s Lecture Series presents Dr. Vincent Poor, Michael Henry Strater University Professor at Princeton University, on Friday, October 18, 11:00–11:50 a.m., in GOL Auditorium! He will speak on "Smart Grid: The Internet of Energy." This lecture is hosted in collaboration with the Computer Science Department and is a part of the RIT Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend.Dr. Poor has focused his efforts in the areas of wireless networks, energy systems, and related fields. He served as Dean of Princeton’s School of Engineering and Applied Science from 2006–2016, and has also held visiting positions at several other universities, including most recently at Berkeley and Cambridge. Dr. Poor is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Sciences and is a foreign member of the Royal Society and other national and international academies.
