Due to the release of the new RIT Event Safety Guidelines related to food at events, the reception portion of the program has been cancelled.

In accordance with RIT Event Safety Guidelines:
As a reminder, all attendees 5 years of age and older (including RIT faculty, staff, students, and their families) must provide proof of vaccination. Current RIT students, faculty, and staff who are in compliance with the vaccination policy can use the SpiRIT Pass to enter events.

Thomas Warfield is senior lecturer in the Performing Arts Program and the director of dance at National Technical Institute for the Deaf. He is a singer, dancer, educator, activist and a past president of the William Warfield Scholarship Fund. As the nephew of world- renowned classical singer and actor William Warfield, he played an instrumental role, along with RIT, in the recent unveiling of a bronze bust in his uncle’s honor.

Warfield earned a BFA from SUNY Purchase and an MFA from the University of Utah in dance ethnology. He has studied at Joffrey Ballet and Dance Theatre of Harlem to name a few, and has performed with dance companies around the world.

Warfield is very active with a variety of Rochester area community groups and causes.
