PHT180 Research Vitals: Sponsored Research Services Update

Personalized Healthcare Technology and Sponsored Research Services are hosting a Research Vitals networking event focused on (1) discussing how junior faculty can get involved in NIH funded research through NIH research supplement and (2) navigating the major changes to NIGMS MIRA Program that may benefit mid-career faculty.

Please join us for a presentation and Q&A from 12pm to 12:45pm on NIH research supplement and from 1pm to 1:30pm on new NIGMS MIRA Program.

Session 1, noon to 12:45pm, targets on junior faculty. Dr. Terry Koo from Sponsored Research Services will provide an overview of NIH research supplement, followed by a presentation from Dr. Brenda Abu sharing her first-hand experience with securing a diversity research supplement.

Session 2, 1-1:30pm, targets on mid-career faculty whose research interest fit the scope of NIGMS: Terry will talk about the major changes to NIGMS MIRA Program that make it an attractive funding opportunity to mid-career faculty.
