What We Do Gallery and Lectures

RIT's chapter of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) is hosting a pop-up gallery of winning images from its 2022 "What We Do" photography competition on Friday, March 31. What We Do is an annual juried showcase of work completed by RIT photojournalism students. Following the gallery reception, two of the photojournalism alumni judges for the 2023 What We Do competition will present about their work and careers. 

Schedule: 

  • What We Do pop-up gallery — 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 31, in the MAGIC Spell Studios Soundstage
  • Lectures — 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 31, in MAGIC Spell Studios' Wegmans Theater
    • Featuring Kim Bubello '16 (TIME photo editor) and Matt Burkhart '14 (SUNY Geneseo photographer)

Rivera died on Sept. 2, 2021, after being in a coma for over two months. He was caught in the crossfire of a shooting in a Walmart parking lot on June 28, 2021.
