The Linguistic and Assistive Technologies Laboratory (LATLab) conducts research in computational linguistics and human-computer interaction, with a primary focus on accessibility applications and assistive technology for people with disabilities.  The laboratory focuses specifically on how artificial-intelligence (AI) technologies for speech and language may be beneficial in applications for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH), with a focus on understanding how people can make use of current imperfect technologies.
