Motion Capture (MoCap) Lab

MAGIC’s Motion Capture Lab enables students and faculty to use advanced technologies, ranging from Vicon marker-based to camera-array markerless systems, that record dynamic movements and performances for applications in animation, AR/VR, virtual production and digital games or for data collection in technical research.  The lab is also home to MAGIC’s volumetric capture research.

Hours

Open during academic business hours Monday-Friday for classes, research and events. Swipe access is permissible outside of these hours with a confirmed reservation (requires “sponsorship” by a faculty member for student users).
