Altay leads lab expansion

Bilge Altay, assistant professor in the College of Engineering Technology, led the expansion of laboratory capabilities in packaging, printing, and printed electronics through the acquisition of advanced analytical instrumentation. These capabilities enable quantitative evaluation of corrugated and paperboard performance, crease and fold mechanics, Braille dot quality aligned with accessibility and pharmaceutical standards, and microstructure analysis of ink, coating, and printed electronics trace integrity, directly supporting data-driven education, applied research, and industry-aligned process optimization.
