Altay publishes in Journal of Coatings Technology and Research
Bilge Altay, assistant professor in the Department of Packaging and Graphic Media Science, published “Gravure Printed Antimicrobial Wallcovering Coatings for Pathogen Reduction” in the Journal of Coatings Technology and Research. The research explores water-based functional coatings for PVC wallcoverings manufactured using gravure printing technology and evaluates how antimicrobial surface engineering and zinc-based preservative systems may support pathogen reduction and healthier indoor environments, particularly in healthcare facilities and high-touch public spaces.
