Annual Constitution Day Lecture at RIT Explores Bush’s Legacy, Sept. 16
George Mason professor and author Mark Rozell to give the free talk
The legacy of President George W. Bush will be the topic of the fourth annual Constitution Day Lecture at Rochester Institute of Technology. Mark Rozell, professor of public policy at George Mason University, will present “Executive Privilege and the Bush Legacy” from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in Xerox Auditorium in the James E. Gleason Building.
Rozell has written and edited numerous books, including Interest Groups in American Campaigns: The New Face of Electioneering, Power and Prudence: The Presidency of George H.W. Bush and Executive Privilege: Presidential Power, Secrecy and Accountability. He has also written many academic articles on the modern presidency, executive privilege, religion and politics, and interest groups. Rozell has testified before Congress on several occasions.
Sponsored by RIT’s College of Liberal Arts and the Department of Political Science, the lecture celebrates Constitution Day, established by Congress to commemorate the date, Sept. 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed.
