Design MFA program featured heavily in global creative showcase

"Educate, Inspire, Agitate" by Roblyn Powley '25 MFA (visual communication design) received a Silver recognition in the Graphis New Talent Awards 2025. The poster series was created for, based on an open-ended prompt for a community event triptych, the 2024 Labor Notes Conference, an annual event that brings together labor organizers and workers to learn, share, network, and plan.
Interactive experiences, print campaigns, illustrations and more from RIT’s visual communication design MFA program were omnipresent in an international showcase highlighting visionary work by emerging creatives.
The Graphis New Talent Awards 2025 are a juried global exhibition of the best and boldest student work in categories of Advertising, Design, Film/Video, Photography, and Print. Selected works are featured online and in a hardcover book, the Graphis New Talent 2025 Annual.
In total, 26 visual communication design students and recent graduates won a combined 44 awards — three Gold, nine Silver, and 32 Honorable Mention. The students’ participation in the showcase was facilitated by Assistant Professor Anne Jordan.
