Hundreds of students find answers at a previous RIT Graduation Fair.

It’s not too early to think about graduation, so students planning to walk this spring can have all of their questions answered about the big event during RIT’s Graduation Fair 2017, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the Fireside Lounge.

The fair, held 100 days prior to graduation weekend, is an opportunity for all 2017 graduates to do “one-stop” shopping regarding the upcoming commencement, including talking with representatives from their colleges about ceremonies, receptions and other details of RIT’s 132ndCommencement Weekend, set for May 19 and 20.

“In one stop, students can get the information they need about Senior Week and Commencement Weekend as well as meet with campus departments that will support them as they conclude their RIT career,” said Kerry Hughes, project and event manager for Academic Affairs.

Also on hand will be representatives from Student Financial Services, Graduate Enrollment Services, Career Services, Alumni Relations and Barnes & Noble @ RIT. The College Activities Board will be giving out free T-shirts.

A variety of vendors will be sharing information on hotels and activities in the Rochester area, and students can learn how to purchase ceremony DVDs, choose class rings and have a graduation photo taken. Students can enter for a chance to win prizes such as an RIT diploma frame and photo package from University Photo, a gift certificate from the Bodymind Float Center and men’s hockey club passes.
