Growing college gets more space

The College of Health Sciences and Technology this fall opened the Clinical Health Sciences Center, a 45,000-square-foot addition at the north end of Louise Slaughter Hall.

The ground floor opens onto the August Family Atrium, the behavioral health clinic and Rochester Regional Health Family Medicine, a primary care office for RIT faculty, staff and dependents, and the community. (RIT students will continue to use the Student Health Center.) The atrium leads to the headquarters of the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition, the home of the nutrition management program and the school’s research and educational activity, including the NEEDS program (Nutrition, Education, Engineering and Designs), and a classroom.

On the second floor is the behavioral health suite, including the Center for Applied Psychophysiology and Self- regulation; the diagnostic medical sonography and physician assistant programs, with their respective teaching labs and shared simulation rooms; a classroom and offices.
