Heagy publishes on Climate Change
Michael Heagy, head of the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, published Climate Change Chemistry: Principles and Mitigation Strategies, which examines the chemistry behind major environmental challenges, including acid rain, ozone depletion, rising CO2 levels, and ocean acidification. The book explores chemical approaches to climate mitigation and introduces emerging technologies such as solar fuels from photocatalysis and artificial photosynthesis, helping readers better understand the role chemistry can play in addressing climate change.
