Researchers have helped develop a new technique for quantifying entanglement that has major implications for developing the next generation of technology in computing, simulation, secure communication and other fields. The researchers outlined their new method for measuring entanglement in a recent Nature Communications article.
Blanca Lapizco-Encinas, professor of biomedical engineering in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering, was named a Fellow in the inaugural cohort of the I Aspire Leadership Academy. Despite rainy weather that moved the annual Tiger Walk indoors, the newest students at RIT and their families today attended the fall convocation in the Gordon Field House, where they were told to welcome new experiences offered to them, pursue their dreams and change the world.
RIT will welcome the 10th class of Destler/Johnson Rochester City Scholars, a program that has provided more than 200 graduates of the Rochester City School District and Rochester charter schools with the opportunity to attend RIT tuition-free since 2010. RIT will also welcome the first two recipients of the Mark and Maureen Davitt Graduate Education Endowed Scholarship.
