Effective this semester, Grace Watson Dining Hall has eliminated disposable to-go containers and replaced them with reusable ones. The new containers are washable and will be collected in drop-off kiosks around campus, brought back to the dining hall and washed. RIT wants to turn Gracieâs into a zero-waste facility. -

After making its debut during a prestigious event in New York City this summer, one of the 13 original pieces that metal sculptor Albert Paley created for a Park Avenue exhibition has a permanent home on the RIT campus. Cloaked Intention was installed Nov. 20 in the quad between Golisano Institute for Sustainability and Louise M. Slaughter Hall. The acquisition of the piece was made possible by a gift from longtime RIT trustee Ann Mulligan. -

Key state officials, including Secretary of State Cesar Perales, joined the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council at a meeting at RITâs MAGIC Center on Nov. 18. The meeting concluded a day-long tour and visit by state officials to review the councilâs progress on current and future priority projects. -

RIT menâs hockey junior captain Matt Garbowsky, along with Brad McGowan, and womenâs hockey junior captains Celeste Brown and Lindsay Grigg, invite the Rochester and RIT communities to sign the last ceiling beams Tuesday before they are installed into the Gene Polisseni Center. The event will take place 1-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the lower level of the Ritter Arena and RIT locker room entrance. The rink is scheduled to open in time for the 2014-15 season. -
