Renowned designers Lella and Massimo Vignelli were among those who recently toured the new Vignelli Center for Design Studies. The four-story facility, which opens this fall, includes galleries, archival space, classrooms, and offices. The center will house the entire archive of Massimo and Lella Vignelli whose graphic and product designs are icons of international design. Massimo Vignelli was one of the presenters at the Future of Reading conference on June 11.

Internationally known writer Margaret Atwood reviews the rare book collection housed at RIT’s Melbert B. Cary, Jr. Graphic Arts Library. The Booker Prize winning author of the Handmaid’s Tale was on campus to open the Future of Reading Conference held June 9-12.

RIT signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ganondagan State Historic Site to coordinate and expand research and education projects related to the history and culture of the Five Nations Iroquois on June 7. The partnership will also work to enhance development of the Center for Native Science and Technology at Ganondagan.

Allan Johnson has been running his own business, Allan’s Textbooks, and providing tutoring and note-taking services on campus while pursuing his marketing degree from RIT’s E. Philip Saunders College of Business.
