Renowned Video Gaming Innovators to Speak at RIT Oct. 2
Brothers Karthik and Guha Bala developed “Guitar Hero” for Nintendo platforms
Two of the biggest names in video game design and development are coming to Rochester Institute of Technology this Friday as part of the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences Dean’s Lecture Series.
Brothers Karthik and Guha Bala founded Vicarious Visions in 1994 while both were in high school. Today, the company employs more than 200 creative programmers, artists and designers in a 40,000 square-foot studio in Albany, N.Y. The duo is most known for developing the hit game “Guitar Hero” for Nintendo platforms.
The Bala brothers will review a brief history of innovation in video games, review current industry trends and will share their personal experiences in an effort to demonstrate how companies—both large and small—can surprise and delight consumers for years to come.
