RIT names two new members to its board of trustees

Appointment of Nita Genova and Dana A. Mehnert announced at July 11 meeting

Rochester Institute of Technology appointed two new members to its board of trustees. The appointments were announced at the July 11 meeting.

Joining the RIT Board of Trustees are:

  • Nita Genova, who will be filling a two-year term as part of her role as president of RIT’s Women’s Council. Genova is co-owner with her husband of Genesee Valley Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram and Genesee Valley Ford in Avon, N.Y.
  • Dana A. Mehnert, president of L3Harris Technologies Communication Systems Sector. Prior to this role, he served as senior vice president and chief global development officer of Harris Corp, and also as group president of Harris RF Communications. Mehnert has championed RIT within Harris Corp., which views the university as an elite “Tier One” partner university and also employs many RIT alumni.

The board now consists of 46 active trustees, including 24 alumni and 31 trustee emeriti.
