RIT Title IX office, Willow Domestic Violence Center partner to train K-12 admins
The RIT Title IX office and the Willow Domestic Violence Center are partnering to train K-12 school administrators in the Greater Rochester area on how to create a comprehensive Title IX Program. The joint effort, taking place at the RIT Lobozzo Alumni House on May 23, is aimed at offering a diverse range of content, real-world examples, resources, and skill-building for administrators. Willow, which is home to Deaf IGNITE, provides services to RIT and NTID. It educates and gives advocacy and support for those in need due to intimate partner violence or sexual violence. Several RIT departments provided sponsorship to bring this event to campus. Government and Community Relations, Finance and Administration, RIT K-12, College of Art and Design, Division of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Resource Center provided monetary support.
