Samad leads book on sustainability in the Gulf region
Wael Samad, chair of the mechanical and industrial engineering department at RIT Dubai, was the lead editor of Carbon Neutrality in the Gulf: Between Well-Intentioned Pledges and the Harsh Reality. The book examines energy transition in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, offering strategies for advancing sustainability through frameworks, policy transparency, and collaboration across academia, industry, and government.
