Scientist gets $1.3 million NASA grant

Matthew Montanaro, senior scientist in the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, received a $1.3 million grant from NASA to provide Landsat thermal image systems engineering support over the next five years. The grant will allow RIT scientists to continue to support calibration activities for Landsat 9/TIRS-2 instrument through pre-flight instrument and observatory testing, launch and on-orbit commissioning, and transition to nominal operations.
