Thursday Information for Rochester's Main Campus
RIT’s main campus facilities in Rochester will be closed on Thursday, August 13, to allow crews to complete necessary repairs to underground electrical infrastructure. The work will require a planned power outage, estimated to take place from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. affecting the majority of campus.
Essential services will remain open and essential staff should report. The NTID SVP program is considered essential and associated buildings will retain power during the outage. New Faculty Orientation will continue as scheduled. Participants and presenters should check their email for updated details, including a new location.
All main campus faculty and staff are expected to work remotely as their work allows.
Student workers who can work remotely may do so (with their supervisor’s permission) and will be paid for time worked. Students who are unable to perform remote work will not be paid.
All off-campus locations (e.g., Park Point, Tech Park, Franklin Street) will remain open and operational.
Please contact your supervisor with any questions.
